Cloudy June Drops New Single ‘w4sted love’

Berlin-based singer and songwriter Cloudy June has just dropped her brand new single w4sted love, a captivating dark-pop cut out now via Nettwer Music Group.

The follow up to her hypnotic indie/pop-rock song jAGUAR, w4sted love is a song about dating culture and being draw to a toxic, destructive relationship, where danger and desire become tangled together. It portrays toxic attraction as a thrilling rush that feels impossible to resist, even when you know it will burn you. A relatable story that is beautifully conveyed through Cloudy June's dreamy, ethereal-like vocal which glides effortleslsy over an infectious production that pairs steady drum beats with fuzzy guitar riffs, hazy rhythms, and rich textures that come together to create an overall moody, somewhat sensual listening experience.

Speaking about the song, Cloudy June said,
'w4sted love’ is about that moment when you think, ‘Oh shit, I think I’m falling in love.’ It’s about dating culture and living in the in-between, when you know someone probably won’t be a forever thing, but you can’t help but stay, even when you know it’s going to hurt in the long run. It’s about all the potential love we’ve wasted on connections that didn’t last, but also about the fun we had and allowing ourselves to experience those connections anyway.
