Cloudy June Unveils New Single ‘jAGUAR’

Berlin-based singer and songwriter Cloudy June has just shared her brand new single jAGUAR, a hypnotic indie/pop-rock cut out now via Nettwer Music Group. 

 

Her third self-produced release, jAGUAR looks back at teenage life and intense obsessions with a fresh lens. A relatable song that is beautiully conveyed through Cloudy's gorgeous, sultry vocals which radiate so much soul and emotion from start to finish. I am loving her dreamy, ethereal-like vocal delivery in the chorus and how it effortlessly captured my attention to her relatable storytelling. Accompanying her gorgeous vocals we have raw acoustic guitar strums nicely intertwined with hard-hitting drums and soaring electric guitar riffs that come together to create an overall warm, introspective listening experience.

Speaking about the song, Cloudy June said,

It’s about strange, intense obsessions with idealised versions of people you’ve seen on TV. It’s about the idea that someone holding a guitar – in this case, a Jaguar – can save you.I wanted the song to sound raw, keeping the old strings on my acoustic guitar and adding minimalistic but hard-hitting drums. The lyrics play with the vintage aesthetic of classic Jaguar race cars and, of course, the iconic Fender Jaguar model.
