JXCKY Shares New Single ‘System’
Melbourne pop artist JXCKY has just shared his brand new single System, his first release of the year. Produced by Daniel Roughley, System is a dark and edgy breakup anthem that got me hooked right after the very first listen.
I am particularly fond of the pulsating, visceral production and hypnotic bassline that beautifully back his distinctive, confident vocal delivery. JXCKY’s usually crystal-clear vocals have a rougher edge to them on this track, and the atypical guitar melodies make the song stand out even more. System is a dark pop-rock anthem about trying to get rid of a past lover's essence and wanting closure so you can finally move on. System marks the first time I’m dipping into that sinister, darker side of pop-rock. The track accentuates a growing desperation for closure and the need to cleanse one’s body free from that tight, lethal grip.
