Hazlett Unveils New Single ‘Bones Shake’
Stockholm-based, Australian singer and songwriter Hazlett unveils his brand new single Bones Shake, a hauntingly beautiful piece of indie-folk music out now via Nettwerk.
I am a fan of Hazlett's gorgeous vocals and haunting harmonies that exude so much raw emotion and soul that instantly gives me the feels every single time I listen to his music and Bones Shake is another great example of it. This coming-of-age folk song pairs Hazlett's evocative, enchanting vocals with a lush background of broken guitars and candid lyrics that culminate in a lively but ethereal chorus that sounds like a release of pent-up feelings. I can't help to also feel a touch of melancholia that just makes me fall in love with the song even more, being perfect for my introspective weekend alone.
Speaking about the song, Hazlett said,
I think running away gets a bit of a bad name. I think it’s near impossible to clarify exactly where things went wrong or how to fix them when you’re sitting in the mess you made. Whether it’s time or distance, sometimes the further you get away the clearer it all becomes to piece things together and make your comeback.
