The Strangemakers Unveil New Single ‘Wait On Me’
Toronto folk-rock band, The Strangemakers, led by husband-and-wife team Alex McCulloch and Tom Perry, have just unveiled their brand new single Wait On Me, the first single taken from their upcoming EP produced by JUNO award-winning artists Dave Ritter (The Strumbellas) and John Dinsmore (NQ Arbuckle, Donovan Woods).

I am really enjoying those intricate guitar-based melodies on which Alex McCulloch's emotive vocals soar over effortlessly. Wait On Me is such a beautiful piece of Folk-Rock music that deals about struggles of dealing with loss and subsequent depression. You can clearly feel the emotion coming from Alex's vocals and the overall atmosphere of the song is quite hypnotic and perfect for the weekend. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song Alex said,
Music has always been a way to express my feelings and understand where I’m at, and this song is no exception. When I wrote this song I was in a really dark place - my mom had passed away in late 2016 and I was dealing with grief and depression. Tom was there to support me, and so this song is about how we navigated that journey together. How relationships can be tested by storms. Luckily, we’ve come through stronger than ever and I’m proud to share this very personal song with the world that I hope others will be able to relate to. We recorded this song in the ever-vibey Lincoln County Social Club, and I hope listeners will be able to hear the intimacy of that space as well as the intimacy of the lyrics in this final recording.
