Kid Koala Drops New Track ‘Allotropic’

Visionary scratch DJ and producer Kid Koala has just unveiled his brand new single Allotropic. This song is a result of a collaboration with Belgian American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley for new album Music To Draw To: Io slated for release on January 25tg via Arts & Crafts.

Allotropic is a hypnotic instrumental with an ambient touch perfect for chillout weekends at home or to meditate. The new album is the 2nd volume in Koala's transportive ambient-vocal collaboration series, the first of which being Music To Draw To: Satellite featuring Emilíana Torrini which was nominated for the JUNO Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Io is a constellation of electronic and instrumental meditations, glinting with the otherworldly blues of singer Trixie Whitley (daughter of Chris Whitley, member of Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub) on six of its 18 songs.
