Turnrivers, the moniker of 22-year-old producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Karl Wännström, has just shared his brand new single Borrowed River Tune, a warm indie-folk cut. 

 

Out now on Slow Night Records, Borrowed River Tune finds the talented artist reflecting on how music can linger long after the writer has moved on a melody passed down through generations, creating new memories each time it finds a new listener. A profound and moving track about the way a simple song can become the soundtrack of your love, even when you don't know where it came from. I am really enjoying how expressive and heartfelt his vocals are, gliding effortlessly over the warm indie-folk production. Apart from his gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar, mandolin and bass plucks which are nicely intertwined with subtle harmonica and steady beats that come together to create an overall warm and enthralling listening experience.
