Melanie Herrera Shares New Single ‘I Think I Lied’

New York City-based singer, songwriter, and performer Melanie Herrera has just shared her brand new single I Think I Lied, a playful and flirtatious indie-pop song.

Taken from her upcoming debut album, A Fearful & Wondrous Thing, out on May 28th via Alma, I Think I Lied leans into the charged uncertainty of romantic impulse. It finds the talented artist singing about the moment you realise you didn't quite mean your goodbye, beautifully capturing the tension of contradiction on a track that feels both light on its feel and emotionally restless. I am loving the tone of her voice and how effortless her vocal delivery is, soaring beautifully over a memorable driving beat nicely intertwined with lush synths, guitar plucks and rich textures that build towards a bridge that swells with rising anticipation, making this quite a memorable and enthralling listening experience.

Speaking about the song, Melanie Herrera said,
’I Think I Lied’ is a sexy, playful contradiction about the moment you realize you didn’t quite mean your goodbye, and how easy it is to romanticize something you meant to let go.
