CaesarLiveNLoud
Swedish songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Augustine is back with his brand new single Cherry Blossom Sky, a delicate and moody indie-pop song.
Out now via OKT8/Amuseio AB, Cherry Blossom Sky is a song about the strange, bittersweet moments of lightness that break through even when the weight of everything is still holding you down. It's a song about struggling with anxiety and finally getting to a place whete you realise how insignificant everything is, something that can be both comforting and unsettling. The song's touches of melancholia and raw emotion are beautifully conveyed through Augustine's smooth, heartfelt vocals which are accompanied by delicate piano keys which are seamlessly intertwined with lush guitar lines, rich atmospheric textures and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm and intimate listening experience.
Speaking about the song, Augustine said,
Cherry Blossom Sky is a song that has been with me for a long time. It came from a moment of feeling small in a big world, and how easy it is to get stuck in your own problems. No matter how much you try to tell yourself that things aren’t that serious, the anxiety still finds you. The song is about trying to see yourself from the outside and realizing how insignificant everything is, something that can be both comforting and unsettling. It’s like everything and nothing matters at the same time.
