Allison Leah Unveils New Single ‘I Didn't Know I Was Growing Up’

New York-born and Nashville based singer and songwriter Allison Leah shares her brand new single I Didn't Know I Was Growing Up, a delicate and intimate indie-folk song.

The lead single from Leah's upcoming EP Mirror, set to arrive this summer, I Didn't Know I Was Growing Up is a moving meditation on how growth sneaks up on us in the quietest, most unexpected moments. It shows how Allison Leah one day realised she'd been wishing her life away as she would always be racing towards the next milestone instead of living in the moment. It captures the bittersweet feeling about looking back and finally understanding that all the moments we were wanting to escape were the ones that were shaping who we are. A relatable storytelling that is beautifully conveyed through Leah's smooth, heartfelt vocals which glide effortlessly over plucky indie acoustic guitars, light harmonies, gentle percussive elements, delicate piano keys and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, nostalgic soundscape.
