Zahra Deljoui Drops New Single ‘Freedom Azadi Azadi’

British-Iranian queer artist Zahra Deljoui has just shared her brand new single Freedom Azadi Azadi, a powerful and urgent protest anthem calling out the violent suppression of people fighting for their freedom.
The follow up to last month's chant-driven alt-pop gem Medical Misogyny, Freedom Azadi Azadi finds the talented artist responding to the fight for freedom and human rights in Iran. The repeated cry of "Azadi" — the Farsi word for freedom — cuts straight to the heart of the movement and the frustration directed at the silence of the western world, watching from a distance whilst people are losing their lives for the right to simply exist freely. It transforms grief, anger, and global frustration into a chant-driven call for freedom, blending dark alt-pop with atmospheric electronic textures, cinematic strings, and traditional influences including sitar-inspired tones.
