British singer and songwriter Ashleigh Stoker has just unveiled her brand new single Sitting with the Silence, a heartfelt alt-pop song. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how emotionally-charged and delicate Stoker's vocals are, gliding effortlessly over the heartwarming production. Sitting with the Silence is a deeply honest portrait of a love that ended too soon and left too much unsaid, knowing you should choose peace but still choosing them anyway. A tender song about the kind of heartbreak that hits differently because the story simply felt too short. This story is beautifully wrapped around a delicate piano-based melody which is nicely paired with subtle beats, gentle guitar plucks and rhythms that come together to create an overall intimate and heartfelt listening experience.
