Zahra Deljoui Shares New Single ‘Medical Misogyny’
CaesarLiveNLoud
British-Iranian queer artist Zahra Deljoui has just shared her brand new single Medical Misogyny, a dark, chant-driven alt-pop protest track about the bias in healthcare towards women, especially black women.
Medical Misogyny finds the talented artist confronting the systemic dismissal of women's pain in healthcare, drawing on her own lived experience with endometriosis and traumatic medical procedures. This is an unapologetic protest against "medical misogyny", demanding accountability and equitable treatment in medicine. A powerful message that is beautifully conveyed through Deljoui's oassionate vocals which soar effortlessly over the Jonatan Bäckelie co-production. Accompanying her gorgeous vocals we have lush industrial electronic textures and distorted synths that enhance the passion and heart of this protest!
