"Drunk Dial Baby" by Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice is a song that makes you smile because you've been exactly where Bryce is singing about. The Kansas City band swaps their usual heavy blues rock for something funkier and looser here, and it suits them well. The rhythm section keeps it rolling from start to finish and Bryce's guitar knows when to hang back and when to show up, which makes the chorus land the way it does.

The writing keeps it light without letting go of the sting completely, which is the whole point. "She only calls me after a couple shots of whiskey" is a great opener and the payoff at the end, "I'll pick up that phone. Every. Damn. Time," pretty much says it all. Good track, worth your time.
