Welsh singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Otto Aday unveils his brand new single Bookmark In Time, a passionate and heartfelt celebration of love. 

 

Out now via his own imprint with AWAL, Old Post Records, Bookmark In Time follows last month's beautiful indie-pop gem Down and finds the talented artist gifting us with a heart on sleeve synth tune that won me over from the start. What I like the most about this song is how rich his vocal delivery is, and how much soul and emotion pours out of his expressive vocals, instantly making me feel each and every single word he is singing. 

 

Recorded and produced by Otto himself (with almost every instrument played by him as well), Bookmark In Time is a joyous celebration of love that pairs his stellar vocal performance with lush synth lines nicely intertwined with harmonious slide guitars paired with mellotrons in the chorus, captivating groove, unique bass lines and drums, together creating a timeless and heartfelt listening experience that celebrates true love. Speaking about the song, Otto Aday said,

I wanted to capture that the journey of life is far more of an adventure when there’s someone by your side, that the mundane moments can feel like euphoria in the right company. I wrote the whole song around that one arpeggiating Juno-60 synth line & piano pedal note, it really propels that feeling forward. In a world of AI music and things that are fake, I feel it’s my duty as a songwriter and producer to make sure what I write and track is real, all my songs are reflections of moments that have passed me by.
