Welsh singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Otto Aday returns with yet another gorgeous single called Down, a hauntingly beautiful piece of indie-pop/rock song out now via his own imprint with AWAL, Old Post Records. 

 

The follow up to last month's upbeat single Friends Like Lovers, Down is a flawless example of Otto Aday's talents as a musician as he plays almost every instrument in this song and effortlessly pours his heart out through his heartfelt vocal delivery. You can clearly feel the emotion of each and every single word he is singing, instantly making you feel like you're going through the pain and loss of heartbreak.  

Down finds the talented artist capturing the inevitable ending of all that we love, and clambering onto those last minutes of closeness. His voice is like a siren opening our ears to the moments that we have left. This is one of those songs that just falls out of you, it was a culmination of multiple situations that were difficult to process, losing a lover while at the same time having a friend pass who was younger than myself… it really made me look inwards. I try my best to find the silver linings and when dealing with loss I try to think of how lucky I am that I’ve had these moments in the first place.
