SEETALI x Kaiyah Mercedes Share New Single ‘Poison & Wine’

Australian guitarist, producer and songwriter SEETALI collaborates once again with poetic songwriter and singer Kaiyah Mercedes to deliver their brand new single Poison & Wine, a delicate alt-pop gem! 

 

SEETALI's first song of 2025, Poison & Wine is designed as therapy for those who struggle with openness and vulnerability. Co-written by both artists, Poison & Wine was inspired by SEETALI’s reservations with vulnerability, and the scars left behind when you are let down by people you trusted in. It beautifully captures the raw, bitter ache of heartbreak, swinging between sorrow and spite, wishing their ex experience pain as well. In the end it shows that we should learn to accept that others maybe won't care as much as deeply as you do. A relatable storytelling beautifully conveyed through Kaiyah's powerful, expressive vocals which are accompanied by a stripped back ballad style production with lush piano keys, intricate guitars and catchy drum beats that ebb and flow with energy to match the raw emotion of their storytelling!

It’s a bittersweet truth about accepting not everyone’s going to be sorry, or care to the same extent you are and how for your own headspace you need to learn to accept that, and sometimes you need to be your own form of closure.
