Montréal-based indie-folk artist Erika Lamon has just shared her brand new single red, a dreamy and intimate indie-folk song. 

 

red finds the talented artist capturing the moment of being seen while becoming someone you don’t fully recognise — when “red” takes over and cautions: get too close, and you might get hurt. It's a dark, cinematic song built around vivid imagery of guilt, danger and seduction, where one's tempting, but destructive alter ego, pulls people towards something they shouldn't want. This message is beautifully conveyed through Lamon's smooth, delicate vocals which are accompanied by a captivating production built on layered fingerpicked guitars, soft percussion, and atmospheric lap-steel.
