What I like the most about this song is how emotionally-charged it is, effortlessly giving me the feels like I am the one going through that life-changing experience. Airplane Mode finds the talented artist pouring his heart out and telling the raw, personal story of breaking up as they were having their first child and the journey of trying to bring his family back together. Howe beautifully showcases how he felt his feelings were unheard and mismatched, "forcing" him to switch off emotionally and put his heart on airplane mode as a way to protect himself.
