London-based multi-talented singer and songwriter Nick Howe shares his brand new single Something In The Water, a melancholia-infused piece of indie/alt-pop music. 

 

What I like the most about this song is how heartfelt and emotionally-charged his vocal delivery is, instantly drawing my attention to his relatable storytelling. Something In The Water is a song about a relationship that's falling apart, about regret and sadness. It also highlights the unspoken tension, that something deeper is wrong but they can't fix. It's an emotional, raw song full of vulnerability and yearning for something that once was. Accompanying his heartfelt vocal delivery we have emotive piano keys which are nicely intertwined with subtle rhythms and drum patterns that build up in pace and energy to match the tension and emotion of his relatable storytelling.
