Maddie Regent Unveils New Single ‘Turtleneck’

Brooklyn-based, Canadian pop singer and songwriter Maddie Regent shares her brand new single Turtleneck, a hauntingly beautiful indie-pop gem out now via MISS REGENT! 

 

Taken from her upcoming debut album, On the phone with my mom, set to release on May 16th, Turtleneck invites listeners into Maddie's dreamy indie-pop realm as her enchanting, crystalline vocals soar beautifully atop the infectious melodies. Turtleneck is a song about how one feels after a breakup, the emotional limbo and how lost we can get after getting out of a relationship. It nicely captures a picture of a world where hope and heartbreak intertwine and that's okay, as it is part of life. I am a fan of her dreamy harmonies and how expressive her vocals are, being nicely backed my shimmering melodies, intricate guitars and steady drum patterns that create an overall comforting and warm atmosphere for her introspective storytelling to soar.
