Fake A Smile Share New Single ‘Don’t Stop’

Rising Bouremouth based trio Fake A Smile return with another attention-grabbing single called Don't Stop.

The follow up to last month's gorgeous single Prom Dress, Don't Stop is the latest single to be lifted from their upcoming debut EP Shoot Me To The Moon and sees them connect again with Mercury Award winning producer Gianluca Buccellati ( Arlo Parks,Biig Piig). This is a grit-pop offering that showcases a more sombre tone than their summer-ready debut. I am loving the way the vocals flow over the gritty, hazy indie/alt-pop production that pairs lush guitar riffs with haunting atmospherics, expansive synths and steady drum patterns that together make this quite a memorable and enthralling listening experience.

Speaking on the track, the band state:
"Don’t Stop" delves into the less breezy and more dark, grittier sound of our record collection. Topically current, the single channels new fangled cross-atlantic inspirations from the likes of early Verve and BRMC to the early aughts scenes of 'meet me in the bathroom'.

Accompanying the release, the band share its official black-and-white music video, directed by Somerset Phaedrus, which beautifully embodies the song's gritty and somewhat dark vibes. Check it out below!
