Isabella Han-Bolelli Shares New Single ‘Flirting With Fire’

Los Angeles-based, Chinese-Italian singer-songwriter Isabella Han-Bolelli has just shared her brand new single Flirting With Fire, a playful alt-pop song. 

 

Flirting With Fire finds the talented artist singing about infatuation, describing her ideal woman, drawing inspiration from her crush on an animated character (Vi from Arcane). A story that is flawlessly conveyed through Isabella's characteristically strong vocals that lure you in before the chorus slams into you with an infectious cadence that refuses to leave your head. This is an infectious piece of music with punchy drums, cool guitar riffs and an overall feel-good, playful atmosphere perfect for radios and to sing along to it in no time.

Speaking about the song, Isabella says:

“Flirting With Fire” was the first song I wrote about not being straight. I was fifteen, and deeply in denial. In retrospect, it had been obvious for a while—like, painfully obvious. In middle school, I made a Pinterest board of hot women. I told my friends I was “straight with exceptions” and proceeded to describe my ideal woman—if I were ever to date a woman which, of course, I would never! If that’s not the behavior of a baby gay with internalized homophobia… I don’t know what is. So, “Flirting With Fire”… You’d probably think it was written about some cool hot girl, right? Well… I mean cool and hot, yeah… But not a real person. “Flirting With Fire” was inspired by the ridiculously fat crush I had (and still have) on an animated character: Vi from Arcane. That scene where she calls Caitlyn hot and pins her up against the wall? Yeah, that was my gay awakening. Is that embarrassing? Probably. But I got a cool song out of it, so why should I care?
