Fake A Smile Share New Single ‘Prom Dress’

British trio Fake A Smile have just shared their brand new single Prom Dress, the lead single to be taken from their upcoming debut EP, Shoot Me To The Moon.

Produced by Mercury Award winning producer Gianluca Buccellati ( known for his work with Arlo Parks, Biig Piig , White China), Prom Dress finds the band beautifully showcasing their storytelling abilities and memorable sound. I am particularly fond of the woozy vocals and how they are backed by crunching guitars, steady drums and bright electronics that together create an overall hazy, sun-soaked atmosphere that oozes carefree summer vibes. Accompanying the release, the band has shared its official music video directed by George Small which seamlessly embodies the song's warmth and summery vibes. Check it out below!

Speaking on the track, the band state:
We wanted to create a body of work that introduced listeners to our core sound. Prom Dress came together after a conversation we had about staying present and not getting too hung up on the past. We worked with producer Gianluca Buccellati (Arlo Parks, Biig Piig, White China) in LA to refine our sound and solidify what we wanted to say as a band.
