thea wang Shares Heartbreaking New Single ‘Word On The Street’

Norwegian singer and songwriter thea wang has just shared her brand new single Word On The Street, a heartbreaking new folk/pop cut out now via MADE Records.

Her 4th single so far, following the sucess of her debut Tell Me About It and its successors While He Is Still Asleep and Jennifer, Word On The Street is an untold tale of melancholy, that finds the talented artist channeling the loneliness of being somewhere brand new through a blend of her acoustic guitar and modern electronics. It's a song that tells a story based on her time moving from country to country. I am a fan of thea's soft and sweet vocals which instantly set the tone for a heartwarming listening experience. Backing her lovely vocals and wistful harmonies we have a nostalgic acoustic guitar riff that is seamlessly paired with subtle electronics. The whole atmosphere of the song is quite melancholic and intimate, making this a great song for those chill, introspective days home alone. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, thea wang said,
I wrote this one after moving to Copenhagen, and biking in the rain and wind every day, feeling like it would never stop. Then I went to London to write with Jørgen Kasbo, guitar player, that same autumn. There it was sunny with blue skies. After it had been sooo grey and cloudy and rainy in Copenhagen for a period that felt like a lifetime, I felt the sun and blue skies again. My mind had soaked up all the bad weather, and this song just fell out in a second.
