Grace Kay Shares New Single ‘overgrown’

Los Angeles-based songstress Grace Kay has just shared her brand new single overgrown, a bittersweet ballad about the pain of losing a friend.

Out now via Trailing Twelve Records, overgrown finds the talented singer-songwriter beautifully showcasing her lush, distinctive tone and storytelling abilities. As a follow up to her lush dream-pop gem Here, overgrown utilises a subdued and emotive soundscape to set the backdrop for poignant reflections on heartbreak caused by outgrowing each other and falling out of friendship. This message is nicely conveyed through her gorgeous vocal delivery which soars effortlessly over the smooth, chilled-out indie-pop production that makes overgrown a great song to listen during those days home alone with our thoughts. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Grace Kay said,
Falling out of a friendship can be more heartbreaking than ending a romantic relationship. But, unlike exes who I never want to think of again, I will always feel a deep sense of love for old friends. "overgrown" is about that bittersweetness that will always haunt my heart.
