Grace Kay Shares New Single ‘Here’

Los Angeles-based songstress Grace Kay has just shared her brand new single Here, a nostalgic dream-pop gem out now via Trailing Twelve Records.

I am loving Grace Kay's super smooth vocals and how expressive her vocal delivery is, soaring effortlessly over the warm production. Here is a song about celebrating friendship and the deep bonds that form through traumatic experiences. The intimate lyrics and Grace's dreamy vocals are nicely backed by a lush and expansive soundscape that is packed with steady percussion nicely paired with lush synths, cool guitar plucks and a memorable driving beat that creates an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere. There's somewhat of a timeless and classic indie-pop appeal to this song that keeps me coming back to it and its warmth makes it perfect for a cold, rainy day home with friends. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Grace Kay said,
My best friend lost seven friends and family members during our freshman year of college and I’ll never forget how that affected her. I was there for her then, and we moved through it. Then, she was there for me in 2019 when I was finally able to escape a very toxic relationship that left me with the scars of panic attacks and led me to cut my bangs in protest of it all. The fact of the matter is time heals all and I know she’ll be there for more celebrations and bumps in the road, and I’ll always just be happy to be here with her now.
