Jake Daniels Shares New Single ‘ Novia’
New York-based singer and songwriter Jake Daniels has just shared his brand new single Novia, a groovy indie/alt-pop song out now via Cloud Kid.
I am a fan of his smooth, sensual vocals which glide beautifully over the upbeat production. Novia is a song between the passion between two lovers and is nicely wrapped around a Spanish-inspired pop production that got me in a good mood in no time. I am also very fond that he sings some words in Spanish which enhance the sensuality of the song which explores themes and feelings of lust, love, beauty, and everything in between. I am loving the gorgeous bass guitar riffs which are nicely paired with a steady beat, cool guitar plucks, catchy percussive elements and lush brass section that create an overall warm and sensual atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Jake Daniels said,
The song was inspired by dance classes — of which originated in Spain — that I was attending at the time of its conception and also a mixture of film Noir style films that I was watching. ‘Smooth, but sexy’ was what I kept wanting to create when thinking of how to write and compose this song. Although the bass line has a similar feel to a few of my other songs, the production is much more of a smooth dance in my opinion. In the end, I wanted to make something that I could dance to.
