Hemes Shares New Single ‘Headache’

Following last month's lovely single Calm, British Arabic artist Hemes has just shared her brand new single Headache, the third single to be taken from her upcoming debut EP, Matters of the Mind, set to arrive later this year.

Headache is a relatable pop song that describes how sometimes having an episode of overthinking and anxiety can sometimes feel like a headache that lasts forever. I can perfectly relate to this song and I like the way she brings these mental health issues in the shape of a catchy pop song with infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics as it gives the listener an insight to how anxiety can sometimes feel like a gigantic headache. Apart from her luscious vocals I am very fond of the guitar strums throughout the song and steady beat that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone. Check it out below!

Speaking about the track Hemes says,
I wanted to write a song that describes how anxiety can feel sometimes, especially when it doesn't go away. I wanted the lyrics to really capture the lower moments, but i wanted the track itself to feel bubbly and opposite to the lyrics to really encapsulate the chaos that sometimes comes with being in your own head. Mental health is something we all face at some point in our lives, I wanted to write this song so people can relate and know they are not alone, this is the basis of my music and all the topics I want to speak about.
