Lisa Heller Drops New Single ‘Figure It Out’
Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Lisa Heller has just shared her brand new single Figure It Out, a song that explores the journey of finding herself as an artist and a person.
Taken from her upcoming The Lisa Heller Project EP, Figure It Out is a beautiful piano-based ballad with introspective lyrics, perfect for those weekends home alone with one's thoughts. I am really enjoying Lisa's powerful vocals and how they effortlessly convey the emotion of her lovely storytelling. I am a sucker for piano-based songs and I am loving the emotion and dramatic atmosphere of the piano melodies that perfectly back her lush vocals. We can clearly feel each and every single word she is singing and I like how honest and vulnerable her songwriting is. Speaking about the song, Lisa Heller said,
The first song off of the EP, “Figure It Out” is about my figuring out who I am as an artist and person. It is about self identity and trying to understand who I am supposed to be. It is really, really scary to write from a vulnerable place and know that it is about to be released into the world. Each word and melody have weight and value. Writing these songs on piano have been better than any therapy because I have to think deeply about what I’m going through and make something of it that others can understand.
