Keane have just shared the official music video for their infectious new single Love Too Much, the latest single to be taken from their eagerly anticipated studio album Cause and Effect, set to arrive on September 20th on Island Records.
The warm, funny and nostalgic video was directed by Lochlainn McKenna (A.K.A Locky) and sees
the band take on the roles of teachers judging the school’s singing competition, as a group of ‘mini Keanes’ play the house band.
Each member takes on a different role: Tom Chaplin as the clumsy PE Teacher, pianist Tim Rice-Oxley as the utterly disinterested and too cool for school History Teacher, drummer Richard Hughes as the confused and weary Maths Teacher who can’t keep up, and bassist Jesse Quin as the eccentric, enthusiastic Arts Teacher. Check it out below!
Jesse, who came up with the concept said of the video,
our hope was that we’d come up with a light-hearted and fun, but emotionally compelling look at the idea of loving maybe a little too much. Though it may fall apart, we can find some solace in the memories of what was – “Nothing can take that away from me.”
