Winnie Raeder Unveils Debut EP ‘From Here’

Back in April I was introduced to London-based, 23-year-old Danish singer-songwriter Winnie Raeder who instantly won me over with her debut single Don’t You Dare, an emotionally-charged piano based ballad. Now the incredible singer has just shared her 4-track EP From Here and it is a breathtaking piece of heartwarming music that feels like a warm embrace.

Winnie's distinctive vocals have a way to reach deep into our souls and they perfectly give life to the beautifully crafted lyrics. Joining the previously released singles Don’t You Dare and I Wear A Ghost we have Still and Are You Waiting? which complete a collection of songs that deal with feelings of loss, separation and the clinging on to whatever little hope you have, in the trying and numbing moments of life. 

Another thing I liked about this EP is its simple, yet powerful, production that allows her breathtaking vocals and storytelling to soar and transmit the melancholia and feeling of numbness in her stories. From Here is a body of work perfect to listen on those days where you just want to be alone with your thoughts.
