Yes Cadets
Here I introduce you to Yes Cadets. This trio from Belfast features singer/guitarist Alan Haslam, singer/ drummer Lisa Mageean and bassist Steven Matthews. They started playing together in 2009 and offer a distinctive sound that we may say alternative pop. Their inspirations come from LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine and The Knife. They have performed on several high profile festivals (Glastonbury, MiDEM, Berlin Festival) and opened shows for The Antlers, Yuck and Guillemots. Their most recent track, Le Mans, has been playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and it is a catchy indie-pop track with a perfect combination of vocals and melody. I am in LOVE with this song!!! Perfection!! You can check out the music video for the track below! Their first EP "Le Mans" will be released on September 17th on Humming Records / Rough Trade. The single "Le Mans" will be released August 20th. Yes Cadets will be playing two shows in August, European tour coming in November:
01.08.2012 Whelan's - Dublin, IR
02.08.2012 The Managerie - Belfast, UK
More shows to be announced soon.
