Scottish singer-songwriter Rosie H Sullivan returns with her brand new single Mollie, a haunting bedroom/lo-fi pop gem.
Mollie finds the talented artist showing a darker, more melancholic side to her songwriting, singing about a dear friend; a platonic love that has grown as they navigate life. A song packed with raw, honest emotion and vulnerability that is flawlessly enhanced by Rosie H Sullivan's soothing tone. Accompanying her haunting vocal delivery we have delicate piano keys, steady drum beats and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, melancholic listening experience.
Speaking about the song, Rosie says,
Mollie was written with the feelings of gritty, raw, truly honest vulnerability in a close friendship. I tried to reflect this lyrically, but also with the instrumental and production choices. The song was written with my beautiful lifelong friend in mind, someone I can’t imagine my life without. It is kind of a conversation, until the outro, where the feelings of true friendship and ecstasy are at their highest point, and life is free.
