Austrian artist le:la has just dropped her brand new single don't say it, a powerful piece of alternative pop music that confronts the asymmetry of leaving. 

 

don't say it is an intimate song about the struggle to understand someone who simply cannot let go, capturing the chronology of growing apart: from the suffocating closeness to the desperate pleading, wanting someone to stay while being deeply hurt by their actions. Ultimately it portrays an emotionally painful, toxic relationship where the need for connection clashes with the need for self-protection. A relatable story that is flawlessly conveyed through le:la's enchanting vocals which are nicely accompanied by lush plucks, melancholic piano keys, hazy synths and rhythms that leads the song into a psychedelic dream-pop atmosphere.
