Brian Walker Shares New Single ‘VENOM’

American Pop/R&B singer and songwriter and producer Brian Walker shares his brand new single VENOM, an upbeat and infectious pop song about being trapped in a toxic relationship. 

 

The follow up to the upbeat WHO NEEDS WHO, VENOM is the 9th release off of his upcoming debut album PASSIO and finds the talented artist singing about not liking the type of person that the girl he was involved with was making him become. A song about manipulation and emotional games gradually change one for the worse until they recognise the toxicity and choose to walk away before the relationship causes even more damage. I am a fan of the tone of Brian Walker's voice and how passionate his vocal delivery is, gliding beautifully over the upbeat pop production. The beat is quite addictive with captivating rhythms and an earworm of a chorus that is perfect to sing along to. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Brian Walker said,

I wrote the song after writing "WHO NEEDS WHO" and realizing that I didn't the type of person that the girl I was involved with was making me become. I came up with the "Ven-num-num-num-num" topline first and built the song around it. I initially thought that was going to be the main chorus. As I worked on the production and songwriting, I realized it was actually more of a post-chorus. With the lyrics, I tried to express that feeling of not being able to "roll sevens" when your "heart is venom". Meaning that it's sort of hard to have good things come your way when you're carrying those negative emotions in your heart.
