A song about a relationship built on an unhealthy attraction to pain, where one confuses intensity for intimacy, and the disorienting question of why something that should feel warm leaves you feeling helpless instead. 

 

A relatable story that is flawlessly conveyed through Rena Angel's rich, expressive vocals and dynamic delivery which is accompanied by a heartbeat-like rhythm. I am also very fond of the intricate guitar riffs, hazy synth pads, pulsing drum groove and rhythms that effortlessly mirror the emotional push-and-pull of her storytelling.
