Caleb Awiti Shares New Single ‘Tempt Me’

Vancouver-based artist Caleb Awiti shares his brand new single Tempt Me, an infectious Tribal/Afro House cut perfect for a fun weekend. 

 

Tempt Me is a song about being there for someone in their loneliest moments; a comforting promise to be a steady, loving presence for someone who feels alone and unseen in the night. This beautiful and reassuring song about showing up for someone, and making sure they never have to face the dark alone, is flawlessly conveyed through Awiti's smooth vocals which glide effortlessly over the upbeat production. Apart from his vocals I am particularly fond of the groovy rhythms nicely intertwined with lush electronic textures and synths that come together to create a warm, danceable atmosphere perfect for a carefree summer's night with someone special.

Speaking about the song, Caleb Awiti said,

When I say, “For nights that you feel too lonely, I’ll hold your body so gently,” I am not just talking about physical closeness. I am talking about making someone feel safe, wanted, and cared for when life feels heavy. The word “Mpenzi” makes it even more personal to me because it brings in that East African warmth and softness. It feels like love, but in a way that is familiar and close to home. To me, this song is about connection. It is about two people escaping the noise of the world for one night and finding peace in each other. It is sensual, but it is also gentle. It is about love, comfort, and being somebody’s safe place when they feel alone.
