Catarina Rodrigues Unveils New Single ‘Borderline’

Portuguese-born, Netherlands based singer-songwriter Catarina Rodrigues has just shared her brand new single Borderline, a raw and vulnerable alt-pop gem with soulful touches. 

 

Borderline is a very personal song for the artist as it draws inspiration from her experience living with Borderline Personality Disorder. It showcases how the highs can be very intense and high, and so can the lows. It was written from a very dark and vulnerable place and aims to highlight the emotions, chaos and pain that come with mental health struggles. A message that is beautifully conveyed through Rodrigues's smooth, expressive vocals that are accompanied by lush piano keys, soaring guitar riffs, punchy drums and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere.
