Mono Mochi Unveil New Single ‘Cats’

Lucerne-based indie band Mono Mochi have just unveiled their brand new single Cats, a warm and soothing indie-folk gem. 

 

Cats is Mono Mochi's response to the current state of the world: a song about powerlessness – and about carrying on nonetheless. It reflects a bleak view of the world, comparing it to a cat biting its own tail as a sign of self-destruction and chaos. At its core it emphasizes endurance and the need to keep moving forward and that we're not alone in doing so. 

 

This relatable storytelling is flawlessly conveyed by guitarist and singer Jakob's smooth, comforting vocals which glide nonchalantly over the warm production. Apart from those gorgeous vocals and layered, atmospheric vocal harmonies, I am particularly fond of the intricate acoustic guitar riffs and gentle rhythms that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for an introspective moment.
