Greek-born, Brooklyn-based artist OXFLOYD shares his brand new single Oxygen, a stark and emotionally-exposed alt-pop gem. 

 

Built around the refrain “You were my oxygen”, Oxygen finds the talented artist reframing heartbreak through the lens of emotional dependency, where losing someone feels less like separation and more like survival. Co-produced alongside multi-Grammy-winning executive producer Brent Kolatalo, Oxygen pairs OXFLOYD's vulnerable, emotionally-charged vocals with gritty touches that enhance his exploration of the tension between self-awareness and relapse. I am loving the tone of his voice and how it is accompanied by gritty guitars that are nicely intertwined with steady drum beats, lush synths and rich textures that together create a memorable soundscape that elevates the song's sense of intensity.
