Tears Are Just Glitter Unveil Debut Single ‘80's Kind of Sad’

Tears Are Just Glitter, the project of Stockholm-based songwriters/producers Gustav Jonsson and Fredrik Berger, share their official debut single 80's Kind of Sad, a song about a time when even sadness was a colourful thing. 

 

The duo, known for having written and produced for Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Icona Pop and others, now step out with a joint project that embodies a retro-infused atmosphere that feels timeless and nostalgic at the same time. 80's Kind of Sad takes listeners back to a time when even sadness was a colourful thing and you would drown your sorrows with ice cream and a lot of sad songs. This song is beautifully conveyed through smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by dreamy, shimmering synths nicely intertwined with catchy drum machines and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, nostalgic atmosphere. Accompanying the release, the duo share its official music video that features their artificial face Gary.
