CaesarLiveNLoud
Scottish singer and songwriter Rosie H Sullivan shares her brand new single You, a fiery indie-pop/folk anthem that captures the chaos of of trying to move on from a past relationship.
You finds the Isle of Lewis native beautifully showcasing her gorgeous vocals and storytelling abilities over a fast-paced, fiery indie-folk production that won me over from the start. Written and recorded with long-time collaborator Jack Hardman, You is a relatable song about not being able to get over someone, wrapped around retro-inspired rhythms nicely intertwined with lush acoustic and electric guitar riffs, and steady drum beats that come together to create an upbeat atmosphere full of energy and unfiltered honesty.
Speaking about the single, Sullivan says
‘You’ is about that feeling we’ve all had at some point, not being able to get over someone who didn’t necessarily break your heart but instead let you down. The song was loads of fun to write and I’m glad I have something that reminds me of that time, but now I can look back with power and not sadness or regret. I love playing it with the band and it creates so much warmth and energy in every room it’s played’
