What I like the most about this song is its infectious energy and how much raw emotion pours from Machiel's gorgeous vocal delivery. Echoes is a song about someone who's out of your life, but you still hear their echoes through photographs, thoughts, and even music. A relatable storytelling that is beautifully conveyed through Reitse Machiel's passionate vocal delivery which glides effortlessly over a dreamy, melodic dance-pop production. Apart from his lush vocals I am very fond of the emotive piano keys that are nicely intertwined with groovy rhythms, captivating synths and infectious percussive elements that come together to create an overall upbeat, danceable atmosphere packed with raw emotion and soul.
