VALDIS x Tómas Welding Share New Single ‘Darling’

Icelandic singer and songwriter VALDIS teams up with fellow Icelandic artist Tómas Welding to deliver her brand new single Darling, a vibrant and heartfelt pop hit perfect for the summer. 

 

Created at the Airsongs songwriting camp, organized by Iceland Sync, Darling was co-written by Valdís, Tómas and Hákon Guðni (who also produced the track) and is an upbeat gem about holding on to hope and asking the person you love not to let you go. They beautifully capture the vulnerability and plea for love not to slip away, refusing to give up on love despite disappointment. A message flawlessly conveyed through their gorgeous, expressive vocals which soar effortlessly over the shimmering soundscape and catchy melodies. Apart from their passionate, heartfelt vocals, I am particularly fond of the driving beat, lush synths, killer keys and upbeat rhythms that come together to create an upbeat, sun-soaked gem perfect for the summer!
