Rafaèlla Shares New Single ‘FOAM’

London-based, Cypriot singer and songwriter Rafaèlla has just shared her brand new single FOAM, a coastal alt-pop ode to her home, Cyprus. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and blend of alt-pop with world music that makes this quite an enthralling and memorable listening experience. A bilingual gem, where Greek and English meet modern production and traditional bouzouki, FOAM draws inspiration from Rafaèlla's mother singing to her by the sea and it reimagines the myth of Aphrodite as a living story of identity, resilience, and return. A message beautifully conveyed through Rafaèlla's smooth, ethereal-like vocals which soar effortlessly over an infectious blend of Mediterranean soul with contemporary pop textures that together create an overall warm and dreamy anthem for her home.
