Kings Elliot Shares New Single ‘The Promise’

Swiss born, London based singer and songwriter Kings Elliot has just shared her brand new single The Promise, a heartfelt indie-pop gem taken from her long-awaited debut album Born Blue set for release on September 26th! 

 

The Promise - a stirring, poetic slice of indie-pop that explores the fallout of a relationship fractured by broken promises - finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing her powerhouse, heartfelt vocals that I can't get enough of. This heart-wrenching, yet engaging track, showcases Kings’ signature ability to fuse vulnerability with pop immediacy. You can really feel the raw emotion pouring from her passionate vocal delivery which is enhanced by the captivating pop production that pairs vintage, retro-charged textures, swelling strings and haunting piano lines that come together to create an emotionally-charged and infectious listening experience that got me excited to want to share it with you guys as soon as I heard it from the very first time!

For the first time, I’ve turned something very painful into a song that feels like euphoric sadness that makes me want to scream, run, dance, and cry—all at once. Letting it out into the world is terrifying, as the wound behind it is still so fresh. Stepping into a new soundscape that poured out of me like it had always been there has been incredibly rewarding as an artist, it’s an anthem for abandonment issues! I honestly can’t wait to play it live—I have a feeling it’s going to be the highlight of the set.
