Charlotte Morris Shares New Single ‘both sides now’

Philadelphia-based folk singer-songwriter Charlotte Morris shares her cover of Joni Mitchell's ethereal single both sides now, the final track on her album both sides.

I am a fan of her velvety, emotionally-charged voice and how beautifully her vocals soar over the heartwarming production. This stripped-back acoustic spin of Mitchell's gorgeous song is quite endearing, effortlessly enhancing the raw emotion of the storytelling over a memorable and intimate piano-based melody. This is one of those songs that feel like a warm embrace, perfect for those intimate moments alone with someone special or alone with one's thoughts. Accompanying this release, Charlotte Morris shares its official music video which was directed by William Gawley. Check it out below!

Morris explains her history with the single,
I first sang the song while a part of the concert tour Lonesome Traveler, where I got to perform the history of folk music alongside some of the greats that shaped the genre: Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, George Grove, and Tom Chapin. We wanted the video to be simple in order to let the lyrics speak for themselves. I also wanted a chance to go back to my roots in terms of the way I perform. Of course, it's so fun to have the whole band up on stage creating magic & music together, but my most authentic performances, I feel, are when it's just me and my guitar, or me at the piano.
