Carmen Electro Shares New Single ‘Can't Keep Up’

Carmne Electro, the project of Dublin-based artist Tomás Daly, shares his brand new single Can't Keep Up, a chill and hypnotic piece of Deep House music.

His first release of 2025 and his first Carmen Electro song with his own original vocals and lyrics, Can't Keep Up is an introspective gem about feeling like you're being left behind while the world keeps moving; spending too much time alone and stuck in your own head until someone pulls you out and guides you toward the light. I can absolutely relate with feeling like I am getting behind, a bit lost and lonely, and Tomás beautifully captures these feelings through his raw, honest storytelling and heartfelt, soothing vocals. Accompanying his delivery we have a hypnotic Deep House production with a memorable driving beat seamlessly intertwined with expansive synths, lush piano keys and killer rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone or late-night drives!

Speaking about the song, Tomás Daly said,
'Can't Keep Up' is about feeling like you're getting left behind while the world keeps moving and spending too much time alone, only to be pulled out of it by your significant other and gravitating towards the light instead of dwelling in comfort and isolation. For full transparency, I wrote this piece in the depths of winter in Ireland last year at a time when I was smoking too much weed and it was effecting my life and relationship. I found it hard to finish the mix at the time but always loved the song and just came back to it over the last few weeks to polish it all off and release my first track of the year and also my first Carmen Electro song with my own original vocals and lyrics. I will be releasing on Spotify, Apple Music and all major platforms and will add links on the release date
