The sun leaves scars just like people do. It feels good at first, but later you realize the damage. Same with relationships—some people move on quickly, like you never mattered, and it leaves a mark on your heart just like the sun does on your skin. That is kind of my inspiration but mostly I just record what comes to me. I started with the beat and then went to the vocals. The whole thing was made by me then had Andrew Kirk engineer it and Chris Penny redo the bass.
